If I had my rathers I'd prefer that the building materials didn't appear at all until you left workshop mode. Failing that a much longer timer option (at least five minutes) would be preferable. My issue is that sometimes it takes a little time to line up your plots right, and once the building materials are in place then you can't realign them in groups. For example, I was trying to line up five residential plots up against the drive-in screen.

Fallout 4 Sim Settlements Mod allows you to make Fallout 4 a bit more realistic when it comes to how the settlements are handled by making it possible for NPCs to live independent lives and build things without your input. Hence, the goal of the mod is to make the settlements feel more like the towns from Sim City, which means that you can create special zones and watch the NPCs erect. I had to do a clean save to get them to work. I manually installed (copying all files from the 3 zips main + expansions), loaded into the game to not find the Terminal, boxes, or holotape. So I removed them all from my game folders/plugins.txt loaded the game, saved, exited, copied them back, re-enabled via plugins.txt and then I was able to find them in Concord.

Now normally, I could throw down five snapped together units, then select one and hold down the 'e' key to select them all at once, then move them as a block until I had them lined up just the way I wanted. But once the materials appear your ability to grab and move them all together vanishes. Kinggath, I am so excited to try this mod. From what I have seen it looks amazing.Problem is I cannot get it working.I watched your video and manually installed it. It shows up in the Nexus Mod manager and the plug in is selected. It shows up when I check the mods through the Mod list in game. The problem is that the terminal, holotape and boxes of modules have not once ever appeared for me. Not once.I have uninstalled the mod and gone through the steps multiple times. I have disabled every other mod I have (and I don't have a lot), and it still doesn't work.I have started new games and nothing.I want to use your mod so bad it hurts man.I'm about ready to uninstall fallout because without your mod I don't think the vanilla settlement building in the game feels right anymore.and I haven't even got a chance to use it yet!Any suggestions? Thanks.

That will at least tell you if it's your save file or a mod conflict. Morchai wrote: If I had my rathers I'd prefer that the building materials didn't appear at all until you left workshop mode.

I thought I had that in the description, but it appears I don't. I guess let's make sure of something first, do you know about the Dynamic Needs system and why the numbers are negative? JParanoid wrote: Thanks for replying and making this great mod!!

Yah I've watched the FAQ video and understood the negative numbers. I've since then filled the top 3 needs meter (food, safety, water). I'm alright with settlement attacks not happening now that I have built enough defenses. One question though, does this mod interfere with the chances of getting minutemen radiant quests such as 'raider troubles'(a mission that sends you to clear out dungeons)? Kinggath wrote: Nope doesn't affect those at all. Usually every time you get near Preston there's another one lolCool! Thanks Kingath for this great mod and the feedback!!!.

Holotape

Then you can re-enable auto assignment. Morchai wrote: If I had my rathers I'd prefer that the building materials didn't appear at all until you left workshop mode. It was probably there when I read it the first time, but that was a couple weeks ago and I don't have one of them there eidetic memories. However, it became obvious fairly quickly it couldn't be done.

At least after the building materials appeared.I'll try using vanilla floor platforms snapped to a single residential lot to line them up, then scrap the floor sections and replace them with the other four lots. I take it would be safe to move a single lot grouped with some vanilla objects?Auto-assignment wasn't an issue.

I am Ilja from Sim Settlements support team. This might still be a load order issue, where one of the mods in you list is overwriting area.If you are using NMM, then it is perfectly capable of installing files in to wrong folder, which might cause this issue. Try to make a manual installation with it.While you say a 'new' playthrough, do you actually mean a new game, or using old non-modded save from the start? If latter, then some scripts may have failed to initialize. If you need, then you can find more eyes and hands from forum. I am part of the site staff, so I can see your replies there as well.
